Today is Nov. 15 and I just came home 2 days ago from Cary, Mississippi.
A group of 19, all members from our Church went there to work. The ages were from 15 to 82.
We have done this for the last seven years. The work what is being done is carpenter work, painting, working in their Thrift store, cleaning, sorting clothes, tutoring, helping with the after school program, office work and for the last two years I have done a lot of scrap booking for them. Sometimes I feel guilty that I am allowed to do my hobby, but God in His faithfulness knows what we can do and not can do. There are many more jobs what the group is doing. This time we had to make a book for a lady from their staff, who had gotten a new house build in the place of the old one. God build that house this summer because there was absolute no money and still the house was build by volunteers. You can see the house, before and after, below.
Every day at eight in the morning we have devotions with the staff. It is very meaningful to do that together.
On Sunday we always go to one of their churches. It is so refreshing to see their love for the Lord and their enthusiasm.
It is a very poor area but they are thankful for everything.
So it was an amazing week again.
