THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

October,
We still could play Bocce  because of the nice weather.
It was a great summer for that and I enjoyed it very much.

This boy had a Birthday and became a teenager.
Grand-kids grow up way to fast. But then every stage of their lives are fun to watch.
Their also was sad news. This picture was taken in Delfzijl, Holland in 2014 in September. By our cousins and dear friends, Ab and Gre.
Our five girls and myself made a trip to the Netherlands that month and I stayed a few nights by them.
Now this year in early summer Ab was diagnosed with a fast growing tumor by the brain.
In October God took him up to Heaven.
'Be still and know that I am God'.

November we went to Cary, MS with a group from church.
I don't know what kind of plant this is but it looked pretty in the field.

On our Sunday drive at one place their was a whole flock of these  birds. Nobody knew what kind of bird it was.

Us ladies,we worked at the Thrift store all week. This fake candle was by one of our group bought over there and taken to the Center for the living room in our facility. God knows sure what we always need. That night there was a big thunder shower and the power went off for about two hours.

A picture of the youngest and the oldest in our group. A span of seventy years between the two.

One of the sweet workers in the Thrift store. It was great to work with her.
A beautiful sunset driving to Cary from Rolling Fork.

Our group touring Vicksburg on the last morning before we went to Jackson to fly home.

Thanksgiving we celebrated by John and Yvonne with the Steiger clan.

 December,

A month filled with concerts, lunches, and parties. And the celebration of the birth of our Savior.
The day after Christmas we had the gift giving here with the VanDalen household. I enjoy that so much. We don't have  many here but what we have we can enjoy. Thank you Lord.

So that is the year of 2015 in a nutshell.

The Journey of 2015

January not much was going on. It was fun to see the bird's eating on this. Some one gave it as a gift and from that time on we are feeding the bird's.

There was a little bit of winter.

I love to do jigsaw puzzles in the winter months. Buy them at the Thrift Store and the money goes to the Christian school. I volunteer there a few times a month. After I have made the puzzles they go back in the box and donate them again  to the Thrift Store for them to sell.

Then on February four there was a trip to the emergency and six days later two bypasses.
In all that difficulty God was and is faithful. He promised to be there for us when we ask Him. He covered us with a blanket of prayers through people, close by and far away. As well  filling the room with flowers. god knows what we need and He gave me a new lease on life. It is wonderful.
Ria came out for a week to help.

When Ria left then Onita came. It was so very helpful for Yvonne and Renee.
We had an early spring, what was nice for going on walks, because  that was a must.

Some of the flowers we got. O, I love flowers. The girls gave me a present and that is every month flowers and in July and August every week. Love it. See if I can find a picture of one.
 This is one of them.

This big boy had his birthday in May. He loves to take pictures with a phone. There are a lot of selfies on his parents phones.
Ria came by the end of the month and the family followed a few days later.
Timmy graduated in June from Ebenezer Christian School. Their eight grade graduation was held at Bethel and he was the class speaker.

The Elgersma's were the out of town guests.

A proud grandma.

So my kids were thinking that the old van was not good enough anymore. One scoped out a carlot and came home to show this car. I liked it. Before it was evening it had found a home in my garage. Thank you Mike!!!!.

After that a trip to Iowa.
While I was there we did a few things.
Went to the butterfly house in Sioux Falls. What a neat place to visit.

It was also Synod from our denomination at Dordt this year and Chad was presented as a candidate there. We could sit in with that.
Here Riley did discovery days at Dordt and we had to say 'good bye' to her. It was time to travel to the next destination and that was  to Coon Rapids and visit  the Kuik's

This is a bird-bath where Ria planted some succulents in and I admired that. It looked very nice. An idea thanks to Pinterest.

In July we went to Warm Beach Bible Camp. Good speakers, singing, food and fellowship/ Enjoyable days.

And this girl had a special birthday in July.

August we went one evening my sister Janet and me to the Bay to see the sun go down and the moon come up.
God's creation is so wonderful. Every little detail He has taken care of. And then the color combinations He gave us to enjoy.

In September we went to the Midwest again.

On Labor day we went to The falls in Sioux Falls, SD

One day we visited Nick and Brittany at their college in Brookings.

When school started again then Derek played football for Junior High. He made the first goal of the season for the team. This grandma was so proud..

Riley played volleyball for school. She did great. It was fun to see her play. She also turned into a teenager this month.

Holly came a Sunday for lunch. It is her first year at Dordt. I miss her hugs on Sunday at church.

Chad had to be examined at Classis with one other candidate. A little stressful for them. They did great. We were allowed to sit in on that.  Was very meaningful and special. Both candidates passed. Then we all could eat lunch there too.

When in Coon Rapids I  made a side-trip to Ontario. This is by Bill and Martha. In the morning first visited Geert and Ria (my cousin) in Holland Home.

This is by Henk. Was great to see him.

These are my great brothers. They must have gotten (I think) a lot of spanking that they grew so tall. I love my brothers.

Desiree and I went for a day sight seeing. Here we are in a nice Swedish
town. Swedes are tall people so they have tall chairs.
And this lovely girl is an Senior this year. Where has the time gone?
The rest of the year will come in the next blog.
